It starts by listening to the patient, one on one time with a dentist who cares about you. This means we look at the big picture - linking oral health to overall body health. A proper medical history is taken to discuss any systemic issues or medications that may affect oral health. It includes all necessary digital x-rays, periodontal screening, photos, and an oral cancer exam. It also includes impressions for study models when needed. It’s all about input from the patient and data gathering from the exam. Then – and only then – can a proper discussion about your overall oral health take place.
